In 2006, one of the world's top researchers on the Sacred Mayan Calendar, Dr. Carl Calleman, approached LUCITÀ with the idea of producing a portal web site for this ancient calendar.  The project turned into a lasting friendship and collaboration with Dr. Calleman, the people at Mayan Majix, and other individuals and organizations actively interested in the Mayan Calendar.

In turn inspired and fascinated by the Mayan culture, in 2007 we designed and produced Sacred Sites, a 2008 wall calendar in collaboration with photographer Martin Gray, which sold all over the world.

In 2007, the press release we wrote and distributed via CSRwire was number one for the first two months of the year.  In 2008, the site was honored with a Silver award from the International Academy of the Visual Arts' W3 Awards.

Our involvement with this special project continues to the present day.

On September 9, 2009, Mayan date 1 Imix, 19 Mol,, we relaunched MCP 2.0, the next generation of the Mayan Calendar Portal site with more content, enhanced features, and greater interactivity.

We invite all those of you with an active interest in the Mayan Calendar, to get involved. Send us your stories, images, videos, and documents. We want to hear from you, and we want to feature your Mayan Calendar content on the new Portal web site.
